Open electronic charts, geospatial PDFs, raster maps and images as background data.
The open file is displayed the Display window. The information displayed in the Layers and Properties windows depends on the type of data opened.
All open files are listed in the Layers window and Projects window, and available with the Recent Files command.
The following data types can be displayed.

Procedure
1. Select the Open File command.
An Open dialog box is displayed.
2. Select one or more files.
You can select multiple files using <Shift+Click> or <Ctrl+Click>.
3. Click Open.
Depending on the selected file type, one or more dialog boxes may be displayed for each file.
4. Set any necessary options and click OK in each dialog box.
