Remove areas from a raster layer using an interactive eraser.

Procedure
1. Select a raster layer that contains pixels that you want erase.
2. Select the Eraser command.
The pointer changes to an eraser and the Raster Edit Options toolbar is now active. This toolbar contains options for eraser size and shape:

| Circular eraser |
| Downward-sloping chisel eraser |
| Upward-sloping chisel eraser |
| Eraser size. Click the arrow buttons or type a value. |
The eraser pointer is shown in the Display window.

3. Position the eraser.
4. Click and hold the mouse button and drag the eraser over a feature or features.
The eraser can be limited to horizontal or vertical movement by pressing and holding the Shift key. |

5. To view changes, select the Refresh command.
